How to play

Sounds Legit is a bluffing party game for 2–12 people, right in the browser. Free, no sign-up. All you need beyond that: a bit of imagination and very few scruples.

Getting started

One of you creates a group and shares the link or the 4-letter code. Everyone else joins in their own browser, phones welcome. You get a cover name handed to you automatically, and you can change it in the lobby.

Picking a theme

Before each block of questions you vote on what it's about: 13 categories to pick from, ranging from Animals & Nature to Bureaucracy & Law. The host can also throw in custom themes, from your home town to your favorite game. Majority wins.

A round

  1. Everyone sees the same question. (Almost) nobody knows the real answer.
  2. Time to bluff: write a made-up answer that sounds convincingly real.
  3. All answers appear shuffled. Your lie sits right next to the truth and everyone else's lies.
  4. Vote! Which answer is real? Voting for your own doesn't count, obviously.
  5. The reveal: who wrote what, who fell for which lie, and just how crazy is the truth? Fun fact included.

Scoring

  • Guess the truth: 1 point.
  • Fool the others: 1 point for every person who falls for your answer.

Most points at the end wins.
